Every year, around this time, I go on a diatribe about how the Subway Series is tired, boring, overdone and meaningless. I rant about how all it’s good for is inciting petty arguments and stale discussions of Yankee supremacy. I gripe about the obvious uselessness of it all.
And, to be honest, I still feel somewhat the same way this year. But I’m not going down that road again.
